The Level 4 IQA is a VTCT qualification that’s widely recognised for the quality assurance of course assessments in the UK. Whilst our training centre specialises in courses related to hair and beauty, our Level 4 VTCT course will prepare you for quality assurance in any subject where you hold a recognised NVQ level 3 and assessors awards.

Upon completion of the VTCT Level 4, you’ll be able to find employment in quality assurance of processes and practice in hair and beauty assessments

Important information

You must already hold an A1 assessors qualification to be able to sign onto this course, such as our VTCT Level 3 course
This course involves one day per week from 10am-1pm at our training centre for 8 weeks

UV40575 – Internally assure the quality of assessment

How the course is assessed

This course is assessed through written work, as well as evidence of the trainee IQA monitoring an assessor, each with two learners on NVQs. You’ll also be guided on how to build a portfolio of evidence for both internal and external assessors.

Entry requirements

You must be age 19 and above, hold an NVQ Level 3, and have completed a VTCT Level 3 Assessors (A1) course.

What’s next?

You may find employment quickly as a quality assurance assessor or internal verifier within a hair and beauty college, or a place of work that specialises in your chosen subject specialism. On average, experienced IQAs can make up to £38,000, depending on your location and education centre.

Alternatively, you can continue your training in internal verification by studying a Level 5 VTCT Certificate in Education and Training or undertake a Certificate in Higher Education or a PGCE with a University.

Yes. Our Level 2 courses are designed for those who are just beginning their career. With us, you can learn critical foundational skills that will help you to progress later down the line.
