Candiece’s journey in the world of beauty began in 2014.
After Graduating from university she soon realised she was no longer passionate about a career in Law and decided to use her self taught makeup skills to generate some income and started doing makeup for friends and family for their special occasions.
In 2017, Candiece embarked on a new adventure and delved into the world of semi-permanent makeup. This art form allowed her to enhance the natural beauty of her clients by creating flawless brows, captivating eyes, and luscious lips that lasted for an extended period. Candiece says it was a game-changer for both her and clients, and she was thrilled to be able to offer these transformative services.
In 2020 education was her next career move, she began focusing on teaching Microblading, Ombre/Powder Brows, Lip Blush & Tattoo Removal.
Throughout her career, she has always prioritised continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the industry. Attending workshops, training programs, and conferences is a regular part of Candiece’s schedule, ensuring that she can offer RJL Education clients and students the best and most innovative treatments/skills available.
She loves the most about teaching is to have the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Seeing the joy and newfound confidence in my students after a successful course and when I present them with their certificates; is incredibly rewarding. It motivates me to continuously strive for excellence and push the boundaries of my craft.
From starting as a makeup artist to evolving into a semi-permanent makeup educator, every step has shaped Candiece into the dedicated and skilled individual she is today.
Looking ahead, I am excited to continue my journey in the world of beauty and education with RJL Education. I aspire to further expand my skillset, explore new techniques, and ultimately make a lasting difference in the lives of those who trust me with their beauty career aspirations.
Chelsea started her journey in 2015 when she completed her first makeup qualification. But her real industry love stems from her passion for lashes. Chelsea completed her classic lash training in 2018, a course that encouraged her to later complete her Russian Lashes qualification whilst working evenings and weekends at a professional lash bar. This allowed her to gain valuable experience whilst also building up a loyal and happy list of clients through word of mouth and social media recommendations.
Chelsea is passionate about teaching lash application in the best way possible, always taking pride in her work and aiming to give the client the best possible experience. She is a strong believer that learning theory, styling, and products are just as important as learning techniques. Chelsea prides herself in always providing high standards and high quality in her approach to education.
Cara is the newest member of the RJL Education team! As well as being our Sales & Marketing Assistant, she has a real passion for the Hair and Beauty industry. Cara would describe herself as the ‘ultimate girly girl’ after discovering her love for all things beauty.
Cara realised early on that she preferred learning in a more practical and busy environment, after taking A-Levels at a local Sixth Form, she was ready for a big change with lots of new opportunities.
Cara’s journey to RJL Education began after she gained a degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Salford, during which she realised that marketing was where she thrived! Cara’s previous work experience selling high- heels and handbags was where she realised that she had ‘the gift of the gab’ and wanted to pursue a career in a sales and marketing based role but struggled to find a balance between her need for glamour and her marketing abilities.
After discovering RJL Education, Cara realised that she didn’t have to choose between her 2 different passions. RJL Education has welcomed Cara with open arms and is determined to help her progress in both her love for hair and beauty, and her love for sales/marketing.
“I hope to make a positive impact on RJL Education and I am so ready to learn from everyone at RJL, I really do think I have found the perfect role for me!”
Hazel began educating 22 years ago, and in 2004 she won an NHF award for Hair Up Using Added Hair, which is where her passion for hair extensions began.
She always knew that she wanted to pursue a career in the hair industry, but it wasn’t until Hazel opened her own hair salon that she decided where to specialise. Before this point, she had tried absolutely everything hair related, but extension education was a clear frontrunner. Since this point, Hazel has completed her Certificate of Education, as well as her Assessors Award.
Hazel has delivered hair extensions during her time as a salon owner, before passing the baton over to a colleague in 2021 to start her family. Having enjoyed a year with her little girl, she is really excited to be getting back into education with RJL, teaching some of the amazing new things that have been happening within the rapidly expanding extensions industry.
