Our fast-track NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing Diploma is designed for learners who have completed Level 2 and want to progress to senior stylist roles. This 20-week part-time course combines advanced technical hairdressing skills with essential business and marketing knowledge, preparing you for a successful and profitable career in the hair and beauty industry. RJL Education delivers hands-on, practical training in a supportive environment, giving you the confidence to work in salons, freelance, or start your own business.

The NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing course costs £3,600, including VTCT registration fees.

Our NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing course builds on the knowledge gained at Level 2, preparing you for a senior stylist role. You will develop advanced skills across cutting, colouring, styling, and client consultations, while also learning how to contribute to the financial success of a salon.

Course Modules Include:

  • UHB27 - Creatively style and dress hair
  • UHB28 - Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques
  • UHB29 -Creatively colour and lighten hair
  • UHB30- Provide client consultation services
  • UHB51 - Hair colour correction services
  • UHB54 - Develop, enhance & evaluate your creative hairdressing skills
  • UHB57 - Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business

All learners on our NVQ Level 3 course are provided with one doll training head and a RJL black tunic.

A hairdressing kit is not included, but if you require one, we can provide a tailored kit for an additional charge.

  • Scissors & thinning scissors (one pair)

Cost of this full kit: £350

You must have successfully completed an NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing qualification. Learners should be over 16 years old and ready to develop advanced hairdressing skills to progress in their career. No additional prior qualifications are required beyond Level 2. Advanced learner loans are available for adults aged 19+ on this course. Please speak with an adviser for more information.

RJL Education HQ is an approved VTCT training centre delivering nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated hairdressing qualifications.

Our centre is subject to regular External Quality Assurance (EQA) inspections by VTCT to ensure our training, assessment and internal quality assurance continue to meet the required standards.

We undergo two EQA quality assurance visits each year and are currently rated low risk, reflecting the strong systems, assessment practices and standards maintained across our centre.

Our Level 2 & Level 3 Hairdressing programmes combine recognised qualifications with practical, salon-focused training, giving learners the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to progress within the professional hairdressing industry.
